Quality Processes
At OSG we strictly follow formal development standards; though we do not posses any formal certification. The below FAQ section describes our Working methodology that is reflected in every project that we execute.
FAQs:
Do you have any quality accreditation?
We follow very formal development standards, but no accreditation as such.
What design control do you operate?
Depending on the type of project and its need our development is based on RAD or water flow model. And we use UML models or other design techniques and/or tools, wherever applicable.
What quality procedures do you employ?
We have QA checks at various points, like
- Requirement specification and requirement analysis review.
- Design review.
- Proof of concept for unknowns to avoid any surprises.
- Code reviews for critical components.
- Monitoring critical path progress.
- Proper QA process by the QA engineer.
What test procedures do you have in place?
We prepare the test plan document along with the design and we flow-up with all the test cases identified and questioned.
Explain your project management procedures.
We use Microsoft Project and Excel to input the task items and estimate them. We also do the CPA (critical path analysis), if required.
What change control procedures do you employ?
Technically we use bug tracking to log the bugs, review them and priorities them. And we fix the highest priority item in the queue. All changes are maintained and managed in VSS. This gives us flexibility to roll back, if required.
Are you able to comply with coding standards and other standards that we may supply?
Yes, we do.
Do you make use of source code control systems (such as Microsoft Visual SourceSafe)?
Yes, we use VSS.
Do you allow clients access to development screens so they may observe progress?
We are open to having the clients monitor the progress closely.
